Night of nights

We’re proud to announce that Tom’s Pallets has taken out the Dentsu Environmental Sustainability in Business Award at the 2025 Lord Mayor’s Business Awards, held at Brisbane City Hall on Thursday 6 November.

This award recognises our ongoing commitment to reducing landfill waste of unused pallets and our efforts to lead the way in Queensland’s circular economy.

For more than 15 years, we’ve been giving timber a second life through innovative systems and methodologies, and this recognition is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our incredible team and the support of our loyal customers.

Each year, we save approximately 7,500 tonnes of timber pallets going to landfill, by recycling and restoring pallets and in turn, creating a valuable product for our customers.

Soon we are set to push our recycling efforts even further as we rollout customised infrastructure to dismantle pallets at scale. More to come on this news soon.

The Lord Mayor Business Awards not only gave us the chance to tell our story about the work we do at Tom’s Pallets, but we can connect alongside with other leading companies in Brisbane, thinking outside the box in sustainability.

We were up against some strong competition in the Sustainability category, with companies leading the way in sustainable and unique approaches to business. Congratulations to finalists Blue Carbon, MyNU Energy and Lone Pine Sanctuary who are all doing truly inspirational work.

Thank you for being part of our journey toward a more sustainable future.

Together, we’re fostering a sustainable approach to logistics, one pallet at a time.
